1. What‘s your story? Where are you from?

Born and raised in Berlin, I discovered my way of creativity during my studies of communication design and fell in love with all kinds of illustrations the more I experienced this field of Arts. Of course, I used to love drawing and being creative as a child as well, but my skills improved and now I can work in the field of illustration in a way more professional. image2

2. Tell us about your aesthetic.

I’m all about details. Cause it will be the small details like colours, shadows, background, etc that will make the difference. Sometimes it even gets a bit surrealistic but that's what makes it special. It´s a great way to include my very personal fingerprint.

3. What is your favourite medium and why?

I prefer prints over digital presentation because it's just another experience to see your art in real life but I am illustrating digitally. So at first, I love my iPad. It’s the best way to show my work all over the world and gives me the possibility to get in touch with other artists.

4. What is your artistic process like?

I’m going with open eyes through the world, looking for the next inspiration. If I’ve got the idea I start with a quick scribble and translate it to the next illustration. I’d start always with the outlines. Going to the coloring and finishing with the small lovely details.

5. Who and/or what inspires your work?

The wonderful people they surround me, the great artists I’m in love with and as I say my environment. You want some names? So what about my Instagram favorites @malikafavre, maryloufaure, poppycrew and last but not least @sarahalicerabbit, great artist and a lovely friend. Of course, there is much more great art on insta and co. But off the social media my all times favorites like big surrealist Dali.

6. What role does art play in your life? How does it change the way you view the world?

Art is a really big thing in my life. Before, I appreciated the beauty of Art. But now since I’m an artist myself, everything turned into inspiration. Basically, my whole life is a great pond of inspiration. I'm discovering great work and thinking about the next piece I will create. image3

7. Where did you study?

I studied communication design at a really small independent private school in Berlin, Germany.

8. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Maybe I’m running my own small business and getting the chance to work from all over the world. And still been surrounded by my wonderful family and incredible friends. Just happy.

9. What about in ten?

Same as in five. Or maybe next year. I’m not this great in making plans. They mostly turn out to be the exact opposite as I planned, but still, everything happens for a reason and not being able to plan your life keeps it interesting and surprising.

10. What do you hope to achieve with your art?

To be honest, I want to touch people at first. And I’m so happy with every sold picture seen framed in another home. It’s been overwhelming. image5

11. Now, tell us a little more about you as a person: what is your favourite food?

Pizzzzza. ❤

12. Favourite book?

There’s a lot. Especially all of Jonathan Safran Foer, big, profound stories.

13. Favourite genre of music?

All that makes me happy. Mostly it depends on my emotions but I love deep vocals and moody sounds.

14. What are your hobbies?

Of course, my illustrations. It's so great to be able to keep art as a hobby even if I am working in the same field. I guess it's just about expressing myself and being able to do what I love. The rest of my private time I’m spending with my friends.

15. If you weren‘t an artist, what would you be?

Maybe pastry cook, so you discovered another hobby of mine. image1image4
