1. What's your story? Where are you from?Hello. My name is Haam Ju-hae and I am an illustrator. I live in Seoul. Tell us about your aesthetic.I draw the air that completes the landscape. As the air is constantly scattered, the landscape is never finished. My aesthetic experiences arise from thinking about everyday situations trapped in such landscape. What is your favourite medium and why?Watercolor. It is attractive that complete control of this medium is impossible. The characteristics of such materials make it possible to immediately understand the unfinished parts of the actual landscape. μμ±. What is your artistic process like?I imagine the movements that would not be drawn in paper before drawing in earnest. The sound of a car moving at high speed, the temperature of a dog sitting somewhere, the smell of grass, the person sitting on a bench thinking of a beautiful cliff, and the sound of nothing. After that, I leave only one attractive and boring scene and erase the rest from my head. What role does art play in your life? How does it change the way you view the world?Art provides happiness and diligent tension. Let's say choosing a menu is routine. And let's think that choosing a spot to eat is art. When it seems like a good idea, I think it is one of the roles of the arts to make people think that the also opposite might be a good idea.
