Instagram: @laura.vogiatzi 1. What’s your story? Where are you from?Hi, I'm Laura. I grew up in a small town close to the baltic sea in northern Germany, now living and working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator in Hamburg. 
2. Tell us about your aesthetic.I would describe my aesthetic as dreamy, sensual, playful with a bit of mystic and a love for details. I love to add structure and details to my illustrations for the finishing touch. My colour palette is a range of 50 shades of pink. I just love these colours, always getting back to them. 3. What is your favourite medium and why?My favorite medium is the iPad. It takes my fear to start on the plain white paper, because you can start all over again and again and again. And you have a lot of possibilities to try new things with it. 4. What is your artistic process like?Well, before I start sketching on the iPad, I use pen and paper for rough sketches. When this is done, I move on to work on my iPad. 5. Who and/or what inspires your work?What inspires my work could be a mood I'm feeling or a longing I have, a picture or a phrase or a word. Sometimes I'm just in the mood to draw something and in the beginning, I don't know what the final result will look like. It's all very intuitive. And I'm a huge fan of Tina Berning and Brunna Mancuso. 6. What role does art play in your life? How does it change the way you view the world?Art makes the magic and beauty in life. 
7. Where did you study?First I studied Fashion Design (yes I am a Fashion Designer too xD) in Hamburg at the AMD and then I studied Communication Design at the HAW in Hamburg. 8. Where do you see yourself in five years?Hopefully still freelancing together with nice people and projects. And I want to start selling prints and open my online shop. 9. What about in ten?Haha, well, all of the above. 10. What do you hope to achieve with your art?I want to make people happy with my art and feel connected on the one hand and on the other hand, I want to make it by selling my art. 
11. Now, tell us a little more about you as a person: what is your favourite food?Thai Food, Indian food, Vietnamese food. I love rice. If I could I would eat rice every day ;-) Sushi. 12. Favourite book?I love books. I have a lot of favorite books. My top 3 13. Favourite genre of music?Hip Hop, R ́n ́B, Greek Music (Rembetiko) 14. What are your hobbies?I love Muay Thai (Thai Boxing). I have been doing the sport for 6 years. It's so good for blowing off steam and a kind of self-therapy. Besides that, I love to dance and spend time with my friends and family. And reading of course. 15. If you weren’t an artist, what would you be?I would own a book shop or be a pastry chef.
