1. What's your story? Where are you from?

Hello, I’m Min Joo Park (mimong). I’m from South Korea and majored in industrial design. Now I’m an illustrator and designer as a freelancer. μ•ˆλ…•ν•˜μ„Έμš”, μ €λŠ” λ°•λ―Όμ£Όμž…λ‹ˆλ‹€. ν•œκ΅μ—μ„œ νƒœμ–΄λ‚˜ 자랐고, λŒ€ν•™μ—μ„œλŠ” μ‚°μ—…λ””μžμΈμ„ μ „κ³΅ν–ˆμŠ΅λ‹ˆλ‹€. ν˜„μž¬λŠ” ν”„λ¦¬λ Œμ„œ μΌλŸ¬μŠ€νŠΈλ ˆμ΄ν„°, λ””μžμ΄λ„ˆλ‘œ ν™œλ™ μ€‘μ΄μ—μš”. 2

2. Tell us about your aesthetic.

I prefer drawing pictures of daily life or fantasy moments. I try to express something simple and beautiful. 일상 λ˜λŠ” 머리 속 κ³΅μƒμ˜ μˆœκ°„μ„ ν‘œν˜„ν•˜λŠ” 것을 μ’‹μ•„ν•©λ‹ˆλ‹€. λ‹¨μˆœν•˜λ©° μ•„λ¦„λ‹€μš΄ 것을 ν‘œν˜„ν•˜λ €κ³  λ…Έλ ₯ν•΄μš”.

3. What is your favourite medium and why?

I prefer digital work. I like the textures and effects of digital work. Unlike hand-working tasks, it also makes color, size and location easy during the job.

4. What is your artistic process like?

I usually carry small notes and sketch with a pen or pencil. And I work digitally on my sketch. When I work on it, I focus on the harmony of colors, the simplification of what I want to express. ν‰μ†Œ μž‘μ€ λ…ΈνŠΈλ₯Ό 가지고 λ‹€λ‹ˆλ©°, λΆ“νŽœμ΄λ‚˜ μ—°ν•„λ‘œ μŠ€μΌ€μΉ˜λ₯Ό ν•΄μš”. 그리고 κ·Έ 쀑 λ§˜μ— λ“œλŠ” 것을 λ””μ§€ν„Έλ‘œ μž‘μ—…ν•©λ‹ˆλ‹€. μž‘업을 ν•  λ•ŒλŠ” μƒ‰μ˜ μ‘°ν™”, ν‘œν˜„ν•˜κ³ μž ν•˜λŠ” κ²ƒμ˜ λ‹¨μˆœν™”μ— μ§‘μ€‘ν•©λ‹ˆλ‹€.

5. Who and/or what inspires your work?

I usually get inspiration from my daily life. I like to remember various things in my head, such as feelings and impressive scenery and to express them later in painting. μ €λŠ” 주둜 μΌμƒμ—μ„œ μ˜κ°μ„ μ–»μ–΄μš”.

6. What role does art play in your life? How does it change the way you view the world?

Art makes my life much easier. It gives me the power to focus on the moment slowly. For example, it makes me feel happy with the cold air when I leave home in the morning, the scenery around me, the busy pace of people.
