1. What's your story? Where are you from?My nationality is Korean but was born in France. My parents had me during their study in Paris. Since then, I have grown up between Korea and France. I studied Graphic design and Fashion design in Paris and worked in some kidβs clothing companies. 3 years ago, being nostalgic for Korean culture, I decided to move to Seoul where I actually work as a translator and illustrator. Tell us about your aesthetic.I usually love to draw scenes. Those scenes often tell stories, stories related someoneβs memories. They may be mine, yours, or somebody else in the imagination. Memories usually come with longing and nostalgia. They may be sad, happy or neither. I try to convey those complex feelings with some kind of poetic and sensitive colors. What is your artistic process like?First, I look for things that inspire me. I search pictures that I or somebody else took, scenes from movies or stories and memories that Iβd like to tellβ¦ and then I do some sketches on a paper before using Photoshop. As I studied Fashion, I sometimes look for clothes of Fashion collections to get the inspiration for colors. Who and/or what inspires your work? The theme of my artwork is usually the memories of other people, the situation in the past that somebody in the imagination would long for, or simply my own stories. I find those things in the street, in the conversation that I have with people, in books, in moviesβ¦etc. And for the colors, as I said before, I often get the inspiration from Fashion collections, or other artistβs paintings as well. What role does art play in your life? How does it change the way you view the world?I think art play is a kind of emotional healing for me. By reconstructing the scenes and transcribing the feelings through colors, I feel rested and relaxed. The world I see is always divided into thousands of scenes, and I give them stories and emotions. Any insignificant scene can be one of my artwork. μ¬μν μ₯λ©΄ νλκ° μ μΌλ¬μ€νΈλ μ΄μ μ€ νλκ° λ©λλ€.![]() 7.
