1. What's your story? Where are you from?

I'm from China and I'm an independent illustrator. I grew up in an ordinary small mountain village but I like it very quietly and naturally. I am the only person in the family who is engaged in art-related work. Because I love it, I will always stick to it. 我来自中国，是一名独立插画师。我生长在一个普通的小山村但是我很喜欢它的安静和自然。我是家族中唯一从事艺术相关工作的人，因为热爱它所以我会一直坚持画下去。

2. Tell us about your aesthetic.

My illustrations are composed of lines of pencil drawn as flat patches of color, usually with delicate details and rich colors. I do not like to paint the facial features of people. I think emotions can be felt from the screen. 我的插画是由铅笔的线条描绘成平面的色块组合而成，通常有细腻的细节，丰富的颜色。我不喜欢画人物的五官，我认为情绪是可以从画面里去上感受到的。

3. What is your favourite medium and why?

Gouache, acrylic and digital (pencil brushes). I like the texture of the combination of acrylic and gouache, they can be combined with each other and produce very rich changes. The pencil can show a very delicate picture. This is my style. 水粉，丙烯和数码（铅笔笔刷）。我喜欢丙烯和水粉结合的质感，它们可以互相融合而产生非常丰富的变化。铅笔可以表现很细腻的画面，这是我的风格。

4. What is your artistic process like?

When I have an inspiration and picture in my head, I will draw drafts on the computer and modify the composition. Then I think about color, color is a very important part of my illustration and it determines the effect of its final presentation, so I will spend a lot of time to choose colors. 当我在脑袋中有了一个灵感和画面，就会马上在电脑上画出草稿，修改构图。接着去想配色，色彩是我的插图中很重要的一部分，决定了它最后呈现的效果，所以我会花很多时间去选择色彩。

5. Who and/or what inspires your work?

Photos, movies, life, and travel can all give me a lot of inspiration. Wonderful nature is my biggest source of inspiration. My family and friends have always given me the strongest support. 照片，电影，生活，旅行都能给我很多启发，奇妙的大自然是我最大的灵感来源。我的家人，朋友一直给我最强大的支持。

6. What role does art play in your life? How does it change the way you view the world?

I’m complete with art. My eyes, brains, and hands are always depicting my life. It can show everything in the world and even create new life. 有艺术的我才是完整的我。我的眼睛，大脑，手时刻都在描绘着我的生活，它可以展现世界万物甚至创造新的生命。

7. Where did you study?

I didn't really study at the art school. For illustration, I am 100% self-educated. I learnt by practicing, self exploration.This is a never-ending process. 我并没有真正在艺术学院学习。 就插图而言，我是100％自学的。 我通过练习，自我探索。这是一个永无止境的过程。

8. Where do you see yourself in five years?

I want to start a small illustration exhibition and try to draw more series of illustrations. There is a distinct and independent style on the illustration. 我想开展一个小小的插画展览，尝试画更多系列的插画。在插画上有自己鲜明的独立风格。

9. What about in ten?

I want to combine my own illustrations and products and create my own design brand that will allow the illustration to be integrated into my life. Hope more people love painting! 我想将自己的插画和产品结合起来，创立自己的设计品牌，可以让插画融合到生活中。希望有更多人喜爱绘画！

10. What do you hope to achieve with your art?

I hope it can convey warmth and give people strength. 我希望它可以传达温暖，给人力量。

11. Now, tell us a little more about you as a person: what is your favourite food?

My father grows fresh seasonal vegetables fruits and meals cooked by my family. 父亲种的新鲜时令蔬菜，水果和家人做的饭菜。

12. Favourite book?

This is difficult to choose. When I come across a new book, I may find many new things. The student's time，i was like Mr. Lu Xun's book, the poems of Hai Zi and Gu Cheng very much and also contacted the national masterpieces. The best book for me right now draws me from the beginning and looks back as if there was a magical world waiting for me. 这是没办法选择的，当我遇到一本新书的时候，可能会发现很多新的东西。学生时代很喜欢鲁迅先生的书，海子和顾城的诗，也接触过各国名著。现在对我来说最好的书是从开头就吸引我一直往后看，仿佛有一个神奇世界等着我。

13. Favourite genre of music?

Different genres except heavy metal. Favorite concerts change with mood. 不同类型的重金属除外。喜欢的音乐会随着心情的不同而改变

14. What are your hobbies?

Travelling, photography, painting, hiking and camping out in nature, reading,Hand-made related to painting 旅行，摄影，绘画，徒步旅行，露营，阅读，和绘画有关的手工制作

15. If you weren't an artist, what would you be?

I think I would be a farmer, I like planting and nature, hahahaha~ 我觉得我会是一个农民，我喜欢种植和大自然，哈哈哈哈～
