Instagram: @wacca005 1. What's your story? Where are you from?I live in Japan. Born and raised in the idyllic countryside, I still live there with dogs and cats. I've loved drawing since I was a kid. I grew up and stopped drawing, but I wanted to draw again and started digital art. 2. Tell us about your aesthetic.I make beautiful things, wonderful things, and intuitive things. I like the gradation sky at dusk, so I draw a lot. I value intuition without thinking hard. 3. What is your favourite medium and why?In the old days, I used watercolors, oil paintings, acrylics, markers, and various painting materials. Currently, I draw all my works digitally. Because you can immediately try and shape what you imagine. I can draw with various tastes, so I thought that the expression would expand. It's great because you can express the texture like analog even digitally! 4. What is your artistic process like?First, look for hints for ideas. Movies, cityscapes, childhood memories, etc. Sometimes, I draw a dream world. Sketch on your computer and paint to add a gradient. Finally, I want to add an effect. When you're done, upload it to your SNS. Inspiration comes in the middle of the night, so I often draw at night. 5. Who and/or what inspires your work?I like old paintings, such as 19th century European Impressionist artists and Japanese ukiyo-e painters. Besides, I am influenced by everything from movies, manga, anime to everyday scenery. Recently, I've been inspired by other artists on SNS. 6. What role does art play in your life? How does it change the way you view the world? It's a sensation, it's something you feel in your heart, and you can't put it into words. I have never thought hard. I draw because I want to draw. That's all. 7. Where did you study?I am self-taught. I refer to the stories and works of my favorite professional artists. I'm still studying every day.ext 8. Where do you see yourself in five years?I study painting more and live happily with dogs and cats. Don't forget to explore. 9. What about in ten?As always, every day is practice. As an artist, I continue to challenge myself, but the taste and style of painting may change. I am incorporating new things that suit my feelings. 10. What do you hope to achieve with your art?I want to reach someone's heart. And I will grow up too. I want to give someone a lot of small gifts, not big ones. 11. Now, tell us a little more about you as a person: what is your favourite food?I like bread and am looking for various bakeries.I also like Indian curry. Make curry by mixing spices yourself.I like green tea as a drink. I also love sweets such as ice cream and chocolate. 12. Favourite book?"Ami: Child of the Stars" I love mysterious and exciting stories! I read a book that will take me to the world of dreams. I want to know an eccentric story that I have never experienced. 13. Favourite genre of music?I listen to various genres of music. I also like piano sounds, natural sounds and traditional folk music. If you concentrate on drawing, you will hear a simple background music without lyrics. 14. What are your hobbies? The first is to draw a picture. Watching movies, walking, hot springs, yoga, meditation. I like shrines so I go to various shrines. There is a torii gate at the shrine. Torii is my favorite motif, so it sometimes appears in my paintings. 15. If you weren't an artist, what would you be?I think I'm doing other creative activities. I like to create it. But now I can't think of anything other than a life of painting. Comments are closed.
