1. What's your story? Where are you from?

Since I left my own advertising company in 2016, I re-thought the direction of my art path. I spent a lot of time relaxing, trying to empty myself and doing pure creation. The direction of creation has gradually shifted from the flat illustration. Dynamic art. I am WANG2MU, I am from China and currently live in Shanghai. 自从2016年离开自己创立的广告公司后，我重新思考了我艺术的方向，用了比较长时间来让自己放松，尽量排空自己做到纯粹创作，创作的方向也慢慢从平面插画转向了动态艺术。我是WANG2MU，我来自中国，目前生活在上海。

2. Tell us about your aesthetic.

It may be related to my previous occupation, so there are many directions. The direction of the printmaking in the past, and then the three-dimensional animation, etc., it has been always changing. 可能跟之前的职业有关系，所以有很多方向，以前是平面的版画方向，再后来有三维的动画的等等，一直在变化。

3. What is your favourite medium and why?

My current favorite medium is flat, lightweight animation. It is interactive, just like the extension of art, illustration or art, it always makes me feel fresh. 目前最爱的媒介是，平面、轻量级的动画和互动的方式吧，就好像在艺术、插画或艺术上面的延伸方式，总让我觉得有新鲜感。

4. What is your artistic process like?

I will first do a lock-on on a topic, search for various expressions in this boundary and use a lot of cases to motivate my project. This is very important. After I have a general idea of it, I will study and determine the final direction in these ideas. The process that makes me most obsessed is being able to create like a child, which is the happiest thing in the process. 我会先锁定一个范围，在这个范围里搜寻各种表现形式，通个很多案例去激发自己的项目，这点很重要，有了大致想法之后，再在这些想法中做研究并确定最后的方向，让我最痴迷的过程，是够像孩子一样的创作，这是这个过程中最开心的地方。

5. Who and/or what inspires your work?

It seems that there are very few people who have always inspired me, but I can easily fall into the whirlpool of excellent works and be inspired by a variety of things and works, such as Diego Rivera / David Hockney / Yayoi Kusama / Yugo Nakamura, etc. These are the people I am affected by. 好像一直固定激发我的人很少，但是我很容易跌入优秀作品的漩涡中，并且被各式各样的事情和作品激发，比如Diego Rivera / David Hockney / Yayoi Kusama / Yugo Nakamura等等，从这些人中看出来我受影响跨度很大。

6. What role does art play in your life? How does it change the way you view the world?

The techniques of art, expressions, and even materials are all factors that motivate me to see the world in art. I hope that in the future, the essence of things can be analyzed from an artistic perspective. But at the moment, my goal is not being a full-time artist but in the future, I may work hard in this direction. 艺术的技法、表达方式、哪怕是材质，这些因素都是激发我用艺术看世界的方式，我希望未来可以用艺术的角度去分析事物的本质。但目前我的目标还不是一个全职的艺术家，但是在未来可能会阶段性以这个方向去努力。

7. Where did you study?

I am mostly self-taught. 大部分时候我是通过自学的方式。

8. Where do you see yourself in five years?

I may continue to make a living from advertising and continue my art research at other times. There are still many things to learn in both aspects. 可能会继续以广告为生，在其他时间继续我的艺术研究，两方面都还有很多东西需要学习。

9. What about in ten?

I hope I will have my own time and space, also, continue creating. 希望有时间物质和空间，还能够坚持创作。

10. What do you hope to achieve with your art?

Currently, my aim is to remind my audience, what do we see is the truth? 目前在创作的方向主要是想提醒大家，我们看到的就是真相么？

11. Now, tell us a little more about you as a person: what is your favourite food?

Sushi. 寿司。

12. Favourite book?

There are too many, I can't think of a particular one right now. 喜欢的太多，一下想不起来。

13. Favourite genre of music?

Light and soothing music. 轻柔舒缓型的轻音乐。

14. What are your hobbies?

I love playing with my cat. 玩我家的猫。

15. If you weren't an artist, what would you be?

Haha, I will stay in the advertising industry. 哈哈，应该就是广告人了吧。
